Leaving... :-(

Well, I'm happy to be going home this evening, but at the same time I'm going to miss everyone up here like I always do. Lee's napping right now so he can drive all night. We're gonna be leaving here in about an hour and a half, so this is gonna be a short one here because I need to run around the house here and make sure we got everything before we go. Hopefully we'll get home around 4 or 5 in the morning depending on traffic. Weather is supposed to be nice though. I had a great time and so did Lee but it's time to go home now. Auntie Sue (Lee's Aunt) is going to be back at the house on Saturday so we have to make sure everything is ready to go for her being there. She's coming back for two weeks to clean out the back room which will become ours, which is AWESOME because I get two whole closets to myself!!!! Anyway I gotta get off of here now, many things left to do before we head home.

Michigan

So here I am in Michigan. We've been here about a week and a half now working on Apartments at the U of M getting them ready for the students to move in. But today Lee had to go with his cousin by himself because they have to haul around sheets of drywall and well there's no room for me. So I'm just hanging here at Lee's parents house by myself catching up on some movies I haven't seen yet. Right now I'm watching Leap Year with Amy Adams, so far it's really funny. But yea this is probably a totally pointless blog, but it relieves boredom for a while. hahahaha Unfortunately Lee and I are starting to get homesick now. We miss the cats and the horses, and most of all we miss our own bed! Sleeping on an air mattress isn't all that great, Its kind of like sleeping on a moon bounce actually, hahaha He rolls over and I am bounced off. As funny as it is, it makes a full nights sleep rather difficult. But we'll be home eventually, change-over should be done here at the end of the week, then we have to wait for Lee's cousin Niles to pay us because as of the moment we are totally broke. So we probably won't be able to head home until next Tuesday or Wednesday because this weekend happens to be Labor Day, and neither of us want to drive 600 miles home on Labor Day weekend.
Other than that we've been hanging out up here, I love all of Lee's friends and family and I get along with them great! His parents love me and everyone is just so nice and not full of drama, unlike the people I grew up with in Virgina. And that's why this is my 4th time up here. hahahaha I have my few close friends, but most the people I was friends with back home ended up stabbing me in the back in the end, so I never talk to them anymore. But anyway I'm getting off topic here. We had a party for Lee's cousin Carl (Niles brother) at Grandma's house and we partied till the sun came up. Although when the drunkards started setting off firecrackers Lee and I decided it was time to go before they blew something up or got the cops out there. hahahaha That was around 4:30 am. We ended up sleeping in till like 2:30 the next day, then just kinda lazed around the house. We worked again yesterday but not very late. Then went over and hung out with Lee's brother Tim and his wife Shannon. Its been a good trip all in all. The work part sucks, but it will pay off when we come home with money to hold us over till I can manage to find a job. The job market around Lake of the Woods in Virgina really sucks, I've been looking forever now it feels like, that's why we came up here, because other than cleaning stalls for my parents we don't really have any source of income right now. But anyway, I got movies to watch and books to read, so I'm probably gonna hop off of here for the moment, but I'll blog more about Michigan here in a few days, especially if I end up staying by myself again. hahaha. O and when I get the chance I'll also post a few pictures from Busch Gardens like I said I would a couple of weeks ago. hahaha Anyway until next time

Almost Outta Here

Ok this is a totally pointless blog, but I'm just so excited!!! I'm leaving for Michigan in a few days with Lee to go hang with his family for a few weeks. He's gonna be working some, I'll go with him a few days so it should be interesting to say the least. haha. anyway, I will have time to blog though, because I'm still not exactly clear what I'm going to be doing yet while he's working. I'll be playing it by ear. haha. Hopefully some of his friends will come and keep me company. or maybe I'll just blog or read. The only thing that sucks is the 9 hour nerve wracking drive, I could live without that. But It usually goes just fine. Anyway I've got tons to do still so its time for me to get off of here.

Bad Parenting!!!/ The Weather Channel

Ok so this is kind of random. Now i watch the weather channel a lot, its always very helpful even if they can be over dramatic and repetitive at times, but the weather is very unpredictable so it can be a good thing. But a week or so ago, and again today, they have been talking about the heat and how to stay safe and keep your family safe. Now this list of things to do included, and I quote, "put a picture of your child in the car, or your briefcase or purse in the backseat so as not to forget your child in the backseat of the car on hot days!!!! Now what is wrong with this people!!!!! Who in their right mind forgets to take their child out of the backseat when they get out of the car. How can you possibly forget that you gave birth. Is America turning into a land of stupid, retards. I think so, I mean I don't even forget groceries or things in the backseat when I get out, much less a child. And furthermore I talked to my mom about it and she said that she would forget her purse over her child any day. I just don't understand it. Anyway I guess some people are just that stupid and the weather channel is there to remind them of that. Other than that I don't have anything productive to say today, I just really wanted to rant about that after I saw it again a few minutes ago. I couldn't believe that I had seen it again because the first time I saw it in the morning and I was half awake, I thought I was imagining things. But seeing it again today has really blown me away about how stupid American really can be. So that's about it for that rant today, next time I blog, I'll have the pictures on here from my family's trip to Busch Gardens yesterday, we had a blast, but more on that later, I've got some things to do.

Just a Update

Nothing real interesting going on. My teeth are doing well and my last English class was this morning. I get my teeth cleaned tomorrow at 10.... and ..... wow looks like I have an exciting life. I really don't see why anyone would wanna read my blog. I apologize for this recent(long term) lack of creativity. I am kinda busy but I should be able to come up with something better than the last few posts. Anyway, Well Lee and I will be leaving for Michigan here before to much longer, I need a vacation and I love visiting Lee's family. Even though right now he's being a pest by poking me in the side every chance he can get while I'm trying to type. So other than that nothing going on, I wanna go back to the pool but as soon as I really start going we end up with cool weather again.... just my luck huh?
Ok so I guess this is enough boring everyone for one day so I'll get off here until I can come up with something way more interesting to write about. I'm just kinda braindead right now.

Teeth Update

Ok so I got my teeth pulled yesterday. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I remember all of it, even though three friends told me I wouldn't remember anything. Best high I ever had though. hahahaha Anyway I didn't feel a thing until afterwards. I only took one Vicodin though. Advil worked for me after that.
All I have to do now is wait for this tooth to come down on my right side. Then I may or may not need braces. Anyway I was scared but once it got going and everything it was fine. Afterwards I just stayed home and watched TV and did laundry. Lee was wonderful and went and did all the stalls by himself for me :-) I woke up this morning, and while it feels a little weird, I don't hurt anymore. I just really hate the gap in my teeth now. Anyway I know Lee wants the computer so I'll blog more interesting things later. :-)

Blood and Gore in HD!!!!

So I am sitting here currently watching District 9 in HD. Its rather gory. I still love the movie though so that's besides the point. Anyway we picked the new HDMI cables at Walmart this afternoon for the new TV now that our friend Danny helped us put together the new cabinet. So it looks great! We got the PlayStation hooked up to watch movies, so we have Blue Ray, whooo hooo. Anyway we still need to get a HD box for the cable. But anyway it looks awesome.

On another note, Dooms day is Thursday. I have to go to the dentist to get my two baby teeth removed that I never had done when I was a kid. They have to remove those two teeth, then I'm going to be in braces for like 2 years, I'll be like 23 when I get them off! That's a little intimidating. They said it may take a shorter amount of time but it all depends. Anyway the scary part isn't the braces, its pulling teeth, I've never had anything like that done before some basically I'm scared shitless! I'll be ok, everyone says your lucky, you'll get great painkillers! lol. Yea cuz that's what I'm looking forward too...... sure. haha anyway so that's happening Thur. at 10:00am so it might be a bit before I blog again after wed depending on how I feel. So one small thing of bad news, I'm not going to be an aunt, at least not yet. She was just a little late. So everyone was kinda bummed, but there will be plenty more chances. Anyway that's about it for the day. Just staying inside again till this evening because of the heat advisory, its 100 degrees with the heat index, so we're staying cool after we ran errands this morning.

Im Gonna Be an Auntie!!!

Ok so I am unfortunately/or fortunately (depending on how you look at it) I am not blessed with any siblings. So my dreams of being a cool auntie where quelled at a young age. But luckily Lee has a brother! Anyway We got a call a few days ago and Lee's brother Tim and his Wife Shannon are expecting a wee little one in March. I'm excited, so not only is my best friend Tara having a baby in about two months so are Tim and Shannon. Its good timing for them, they've been married for about two years. Still really haven't talked to them about it though, I don't know if they where planning or not.



So I get to be a cool auntie. I'm just happy its not me yet, I'm not ready for a little bundle of joy yet. I'll wait until I'm in my late twenties. haha. So that's my exciting news for today. Not much else to write about, the humidity is killer here in old Virgina right now. So we're hiding in "the Cave" today. Just working on some homework and reading, wishing it was cooler in the house actually. haha. Weather Channel went out a little while ago, so I'm guessing there having some bad storms there now. I would like a few storms, it would at least cool things down some.

I forgot to say though, the horse show was a bust. The girl that ran PWHA last year screwed everyone over so no one came back to the association this year to run barrels and polls so we just packed up and went home. But that's ok cuz there's more shows a coming this year. Other than that just been a lazy summer. I wanna go on vacation but money is so tight right now, we have to find somewhere cheap. lol Anyway I'm just rambling now, the real reason I got on here was to announce that I finally get to be an Auntie!!! woot woot, plenty of spoiling kids and sending them back for me ahead. :-)

The Cave

Ok so this sounds like something Lee would do, haha :-)

Basically it has become so hot outside that the house has become Lee and my cave. We have nothing on but the computer and the TV, all other lights are off. the A/C is running and bottles of water are ready at hand. Luckily we have not had to venture out yet, and when I went to class this morning it was still cool enough that it wasn't horrible yet, and I managed to park in the shade today!! Go Me! So now upon returning from my journey I have decided to camp the rest of the afternoon here on the couch with my book and the computer. Tonight when the sun goes down, we will venture out to ride horses and clean stalls. This is how things must be done in Virgina in the summer, its a good thing I've always been a night person anyway.

Ok so next thing to talk about, I have a summery/response due Monday, its supposed to be on a CNN article that the Internet is making us Quick but shallow. Ok so maybe this is true, but it doesn't kill our creativity as Nicholas Carr states in his article that it dose. Blogs and Facebook, and Myspace, these let people express there creativity in there own way. Also he states Xboxs and playstations have become a form of entertainment, well hello, that's why i bought my Xbox. Now some technology is pointless and over cumbersome. maybe like the 200 different types of iPhone or whatever and iPads, I could really care less about those, I don't need one to function. But anyway I think this man has things way wrong, he has some good points about it, but it also all depends on the person. anyway Ill let you decide for yourself. Here's the link to the article:

That aside, I still need a good argument for my position paper due two weeks from now, well I need a topic by the end of the week. ha! that's the hardest part really, picking the topic. The rest is easy, I love to write.

So enough boring you to death with my school things. There is nothing else to exciting except that I finally got to see The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo movie. It was really close to the book, I was impressed with it actually. There where some things, but then again the movie was like 3 hours long as it was so they had to leave some things out. Anyway I still can't wait to get my hands on the second book. Just reading a John Grisham novel at the moment that a friend loaned me. Anyway so that's about it for the time being, time to either work on a little bit of homework or read my book for a few. So everyone, try to stay cool I know its hot all over the country right now, so be cool, safe, drink plenty of water, and no the signs of heat sickness. HEAT HEAT HEAT!!!

So today the love of my life and I are staying inside as long as we can. According to my weather bug right now in Lake of the Woods Va it is 101 degrees. I need a pool pass, but its gonna be a few more days before I get that. Anyway the 4th of July was good, didn't do anything exciting, it was pretty hot, and we couldn't see the fireworks from the house. So now we're staying in the house with all the windows closed and the AC on. Its just to hot to do anything else, I can't even go for a run today or work in the garden. So its just me, the computer, a glass of juice, my book, two adorable kitty cats, and the love of my life Lee. I can dig that. I even have all my papers done for class tomorrow! man I'm good today! :-) Unfortunately the rest of the week is supposed to be like this, in the triple digits. There is a horse show this weekend we're all attempting to get ready for but its so hot, we can't even go out to ride until its almost dark.
Anyway that's enough about the heat, for lack of better things to write, I've managed to get quite a bit out of talking about the heat. What I really need is a topic of the day, but I've always been not so good at coming up with topics. Once I get going I'm writing and that's it, but its a pain in the ass to get started. Alright, well Lee and I are watching a movie now, so its time to wrap this up. I'll be back in a day or so, hopefully I'll start coming up with better topics to talk about so I'm not boring anyone to death. anyway

-Miley Cyrus should be put out of my misery because shes a bad example for kids (i know i wouldn't want my child watching her parade around at 17 in her underwear shes a DISNEY for god sake.)
-ABC with its new teen pregnancy shows and teen obesity shows... that's whats wrong with kids, they're promoting bad things.
- o and millionaires, all those fat old bastards sitting on there money... take it away from them, liquidize there funds, distribute that money to people who really need it, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer, i hate rich people more than anything, they have entitlement issues. just take there money away from there fat asses and pay some of this country's debt off... HELLO!!!!
- o and one more thing, whoever the hell left the shut off valve off the oil rig should be stoned almost to death, then hung.
ok so i think that's about it, man i wish i where president, this would almost fix the economy, especially if marijuana was legalized then the government could make money off of if more so than it dose now. and the millionaires have to go, they need to become extinct. I think these few points here would make a better world for our children and our children's children. But anyway who's gone listen to my smart-cynical-ass..... NO one, so the world will end in 2012 because of human stupidity.... not martians and meteoroids as the scientists seem to think. Nope in the end it will be all our fault, but the flaw of man is not to take the blame, so its pointless.

Im so Bad

I promise I love to blog, really! I'm so busy all the time, and when I'm not Lee's playing Warcraft. That and i will confess that I have been getting back into Kingdom Hearts! I love that game so much, I decided to give it another shot. Because when it came out I got stuck right at the end and couldn't beat it, so I'm giving it another shot.

Anyway I apologize for not posting in a very long time. I don't have much to talk about this morning because A: I'm short on time and B: I can't figure out what to write about. English class has been sucking the rest of my creativity so I have none for anything else. I have to write a four page analysis on a short story that we read, but I have no idea which one to do. Grades are going good in English so hopefully if i suck at this one it won't hurt me, hahaha.

Dewey and Ginger promise to be back later this weekend to write some more as well, they've been really busy with catnip and the new toy and all. Never Enough Hours in the Day :-(

Dose it ever seem like there are never enough hours in the day?


I always feel that way...




I would love to get on here and blog more, I have tons of ideas to write about but it seems like every time I finally get on here to type I only have like 10 minutes to type anything. If its not homework, its class, horses, cleaning stalls, or hanging out with friends. Which I've been trying to do more of because ever since high school I've sorta become kinda anti-social. I have my small group of friends and that's about it. But anyway I'm trying to be more social and make my boyfriend more social in the process. But being social and trying to keep up with other day to day things is kinda of a task. And well of course that leaves only a few minutes left in the day to blog. I like being busy though, doing yard work, riding horses, cleaning stalls and all that. And well that usually keeps me pretty happy, but i need my friends still.
Anyway now i have like 5 more minutes left to talk before i have to wake Lee up from his nap then its time to go bust ass in the heat for the next 4 and a half hours, then over to our friend Danny's house to see the new addition on his house. So lets see, what can i talk about in 4 minutes. I guess I could talk about talking because we all know that would be interesting. Heh right.... :-( I guess I could talk about how I'm almost done with The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo I would recommend that book to anyway its amazing. Its kinda dark and not for the feint of heart but its excellent and well written. I cannot wait to read the next one. Ok so now I'm down to 2 minutes. I guess other than the baby thing I haven't really had any solid world issue type topics, then again nothing has really pissed me off in the news lately except for the oil spill but i refuse to talk about that because it makes me physically ill and those damn British bastards don't care one lick what happens to the gulf and the animals, all they care about is how much money there gonna be losing and who to blame for it. and ANNNNNYYYYWAYYYYY that's enough about that, I refuse to talk anymore about that.


So that leaves me with about 30 seconds to find an amusing picture or something to amuse you until I can find another spare 10 minutes to blog with. :-)

Sex and the City!!!

So I'm sitting here watching an episode from the 1st season of Sex and the City on Tbs and realizing that I pretty much grew up watching this show. I love these ladies. They are all so funny but I have to say I identify the most with Charolett, I'm just so much like her, shes my favorite. Anyway, maybe in a way Carrie kind of inspired me to start this blog. I just love the idea of freelance journalism and putting your thoughts out there for everyone to read. I mean i know I'm not that good at writing but I really do love to do it. And i like to think I can at least come up with good ideas. Well look at me.... getting off topic again. haha

I've been watching the show basically since it came on, and i waited with bated breath for the two movies. My best friend Heather and I used to watch it almost every night one summer and eat pudding and learn about sex. haha So when the movies came out now that we're older we just had to go together. She took me to see the first one and i took her to see the second. And now that its over, I'm sad, but at the same time, i doubt its over because they'll be back to do another movie together. At least I hope. Anyway here's a photo from 2 weeks ago when Heather and I got all dressed up and when to see the 2nd movie. :-)

So tonight I don't really have much to important to blog about, other than check out some of Dewey's musings about catnip on my other blog. With Pictures. :-) Anyway finally snatched the computer from my wonderful boyfriend and then I can't figure out what to blog about tonight. Nothing to exciting has been happening around here recently except for going to class. Just finished my Compare/ Contrast paper for English on small hometowns. I live in Culpeper and my boyfriend hails from Milan Michigan, so there both pretty different.

Well i won't bore you all with that, here's another one of Dewey that he didn't post, I swear he's the devil cat. Just look at those fangs. Just tell me if i fawn over my cat to much, nothing else is very interesting in my life.

Okay so new topic because i talk about my cats to much, the other blog is all for them. So some exciting news that I'll be talking about on here, my best friend Tara is having a baby late this summer. Her c-section is scheduled for September the 10th, my friend Melissa and I are going to travel the four hour drive to see her and stay with her for the weekend and help her with the baby. I'm so excited, its gonna be a little girl and that's what I want one day, this will be good practice. haha. So I'll have more on that later when i get more details on the time and as it gets closer. :-)

So I guess I've filled my quota for the night when it comes to blogging. This is fun so far but I've had some writers block, probably because all my artistic talent has been going to English class and not to anything else. If anyone has any good ideas for me let me know. Anyway I'm gonna have to give the computer up for my newest obsession The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo I love this book so far, I would recommend it to anyone who loves crime novels, I can't wait to finish it and get to the next one, it is defiantly a page turner!! Quickie

I only have a few minutes to post today, I've been busy. Working out in the yard, and working horses. Went riding with my friend Kija yesterday, she let me get a different perspective last night by jumping my mare for me while i watched so that was nice. Had a good time. Unfortunately I don't get my own computer regularly because my loving boyfriend has discovered Warcraft, *eye roll*. Anyway as soon as he gets out of the shower it will be time to work some horses before the storms come in this afternoon as they always do this time of year in Virgina. If you hadn't noticed yet, I'm a cat person. There is a book that i find enlightening that i think all cat owners should have. Its called Planet Cat, its anything and everything for the cat lover. I absolutely love this book so you'll probably see me quote things from this book often. Its got cat care tips, lists, cartoons, and any information you can think of about cats. Its 389 pages long and filled with more facts than i could even fathom. Anyway this happens to be one of my favorite sections, here are some of the Haiku's that I happened to like the best.

So why Blogs?

I'm still kind of wondering this myself. I don't know what made me decide to do this. All the writing I'm doing in English right now at the college made me want to write more i guess.
So whats really the point of a Blog. It seems kind of self-absorbed to write blogs about yourself for the purpose of other people reading about your boring life. Though the good writers make reading a blog kind of fun, colorful writing and good descriptions make for an entertaining blog for me. So the big question: Is anyone gonna read this? Most likely not, with the exception of my friends and family, haha. Anyway I'm doing this for myself and only me, so i can rant and rave when i need to, or put things down that are just on my mind.
On the other hand I do hope someone reads the Dewey and Ginger blog i went ahead and made, because they are crazy, that and some of the pictures are funny. Anyway its morning time and the other half is asleep so I'm just rambling on and on here. haha Need a good subject, like my story yesterday. yes this really concerns me, I'm scared for the future of my family and my children's family if we overpopulate the earth. Ehhhh but what is little old me gonna do about it, something if i could, but i don't know where to begin.
Enough about the depressing stuff. There is one thing i should be doing though, and that's my Compare/contrast paper that's due Monday. I'm pretty sure my topic is gonna be my home town, Culpeper, Virgina compared with Lee's home town Milan, Michigan. There very alike actually, small towns where everyone knows each other and such. Yet so different in there stores, set up, that and i think most of the people up there are nicer than the ones here in Culpeper. lol
Anyway that's enough on my boring class paper. I'm actually running out of things to talk about this morning so I guess ima sign off of here for now, :-)

Baby Fever?

Alright so did i miss the memo, since when did baby fever begin? I know everyone thinks that the Lord wants us to procreate and all, and don't get me wrong so do I. But its one thing to procreate its another to overpopulate the earth! Now i want babies just as much as the next girl. I plan one day to have one or two, and my heart aches for one every time i see one. But that's just a female urge. Ok I can wait, the rest of the population...not so much

This having babies at 13 and having 13 babies, its got to stop. If we overpopulate the earth we all die... end of story! Hello People! I recently heard on CNN (communist news network to some haha) that they want to limit people in the United States just like in China to having one baby per household. Now this will never stand, but it should. Even if it was just for 5 years, the population would have a chance to go down and we wouldn't be in danger of running out of resources. Try to tell this to the masses... not happening. You have your Jesus freaks everywhere and your families that wanna have 10 kids. Well lets think about this, when families had ten kids back in the early days, it was because the national life expectancy age was low and farms where abundant and people needed children to help run there farms. Well now with modern science and all that we need to slow down, this goes out to you Octo-Mom, your a dumb bitch.

Now believe me i plan on having kids, but i was also thinking it would be way better to have just one and then adopt one. There are just to many kids starving and without families in the would to bring another life onto the planet without taking care of whats already here. Now some people can's seem to figure this out. Now if i am correct, which i am, we do have birth control now a days... FUCKING USE IT!!!! hello!!

Well what ever happens, I hope people figure it out sooner rather than later that we have to slow down a little, procreating is good and all, and i love babies and my female body aches for one, but I'm not ready. Now i wish other girls my age and younger would figure that out, theres plenty of time for all that, and well some people just shouldn't have kids at all. There should be a test you should have to take in order to be able to have kids. But that's just my opinion, maybe that's stretching it a little, even the dumbest animals still procreate. That's about the extent of my rant for the afternoon, I hope it was enlightening,

The First Blog

So I've always heard the first blog is the hardest? Hmmmm maybe. Now who is gonna read this i wonder? Probably no one. But that's beside the point, because as i said in the beginning this is for me.

Ok so I guess I'll start with the first thing that comes to mind, and that would be the two wonderful cats that are running around the house right now. (told you they would come up)

Anyway this is them. My wonderful furry balls of joy. There both a year old. Dewey is the Orange (just like the Dewey from the library in Iowa) And Ginger is the unusual orange and grey tabby. They are so entertaining. I could write five whole blogs about them. I'm sure any other pet owner feels that way, especially when you've raised the animal yourself from a tiny baby.
We bought Ginger at 4 months old from Pet's Mart, the best 60 bucks ever spent i might add. Dewey came first though, he was born on my parents farm last year, his mother is still living happily out there. His sister Rusty went with my boyfriend, Lee's, Aunt Susan. The third kitten went to my mothers friend.

That's enough about the cats. Actually that's enough for the moment anyway. I have some things to do here before i head out to ride the horses this afternoon and clean there stalls. So this is me signing out for the first time. :-)
